Well another week flies by, with generally mildweather interspaced with wind and rain. This hasleft the Green keepers with a continued glut ofcutting to do, with the winter programme workhaving to be fitted around that. Mind you thecourse remains in great order, and I can seewith a fair wind a cracking track nest summer.

The full results for the winter season's firstWinter League canbe found here. Well done to MartinThompson and ZakMawer whose better back nine 63knocked Gaz Granthamand P.J.Riley into secondspot. Mind you, for Gaz,a superb hole in one on the 8th was a greatcompensation!!!!!
Football wise Grimsby Town had another fine winat the weekend, but the top two both won to keeptown a few points away. England weredisappointing against Spain, but can look to abetter performance against France. With whathappened in Paris though football is not tooimportant is it?
Cricket wise a good win for England againstPakistan to keep the series in the balance.
I don't normally mention Ruby League, butEngland did very well to beat New Zealand 2-1 intheir recent series.
