Well an action packed weekend for the boys from the shop with Rob making Debbie Mrs Goodway on Saturday!!!!
We met for drinks Friday night with Rob's family and had a hoot. The day itself saw great weather and an unusually nervous Mr Goodway waiting for Debbie. When she came in she was more nervous than Rob!!!! The ceremony was smooth after they calmed down and the following wedding meal was superb.
I felt my speech as best man hit the spot and then we partied with much dancing late into the night. As I type this Rob and Debbie are winging their way on honeymoon to Spain.
Sport wise Scotland did well in getting into the Rugby quarters, whilst Wales lost to a resolute Australia side. Grimsby remain unbeaten in 9 but another draw sees them slip further behind the leaders. Northern Ireland and Wales are now in the Euros, whilst England kept their winning run going last night.
Golf wise we saw a great maiden win in The British Masters at Woburn from Mathew Fitzpatrick with 4 birdies in the last 7 holes. America won a dramatic 15.5 to 14.5 victory in The Presidents Cup with both sides producing some great golf.
At the club we are gearing up for the first stage of the shop changes with new counter, slat walling and shoe and grip walls to be added. The proposed improvements to the studio area for club fitting and adverse weather lessons will be going ahead in the early part of the new year too. We also have a new ticketing programme ready to roll out to professionalise our signage in the shop.
