Well another week has flown by with mixed weather to contend with, leaving the bunkers temporarily out of play. The lads are now on with bringing them back up to spec after not having time whilst the coring of the tees and surrounds were being completed. We look forward to seeing Steve and his gang continue the winter programme with scarifying the fairways next on the agenda followed by path and ditch work.
Sport wise The Solheim Cup provided controversy. The 'incident' galvanised the Yanks into a fightback in my opinion, rarely making me feel justice was done for the opposition. What are your thoughts? Let me know.
Japan caused the biggest upset in sport this weekend beating The Springboks in the World Cup Rugby (sorry Mr Lentz to mention it!!!) England looked okay in their first match but will need to up their game against the Welsh for sure.
Albion won well at Villa and start to look better each game. Man City came undone against Wally and Steve Courtney's Hammers, whilst Man United won well at Southampton. Chelsea beat Arsenal in a feisty affair with Costa again creating the talking points. My opinion is we don't need those antics in football, put him in a rugby team and see how he fares!!!!
Shop wise we are still busy with fittings. Alex as ever covers this area so well for us so feel free to book in for any wood, iron or wedge requirements. Also now is a good time for a club check for grips (from £5 a grip fitted) and loft and lie adjustments (£20 per set)
Newly in is PING men and ladies winter clothing including lined sweaters and waterproofs. Also in is the excellent ProQuip range for men including lined sweaters, waterproofs and fleece tops. Pop in for a browse.
Just a note that there will be some shop changes going on in October. We are slat walling the back wall to the shop, creating a self-service shoe area, and upgrading the till area. We will keep you posted of progress. Also we are aiming to upgrade the indoor area to proper studio status as a second phase of improvements, again we will keep you posted as to our progress!!!
Remember the winter lesson deal of 10 lessons for £100 is now open to book. Click the link for a booking.
