Hi everyone Paul is on his way to London as I write taking his daughter back to uni for her 2nd year, bet the house will be tidier for the next few months! Rubbish weekend on the football front for my boy's normal service resumed you might say, only crumb of comfort was Liverpool and Chelsea suffering the same fate. Looks like those upstarts up the road are the team to beat this season great start for Man City, hurts to say it but credit where it's due. Baggies 1st win over 9 man Stoke so Mr Davies will be pleased. What's going on with the Mariners good start gone bad, let's hope they bounce back quickly and get back up the table asap!
Hate to say it but were very nearly at the end of the summer season a definite feel of autumn in the air, where has the year gone.

SCOOP'S RETIRING 30 SEPTEMBER 2015 Just to let you all know that, as no one has come forward following my recent pleas for a replacement 'Scoop', as from the above date, I will no longer be collecting Golf Club information to send to the press for publication. I have done the job since 2005 (over 10 years) and feel now it is time to retire and feel very sad that no one is willing to take over the position of placing CLEETHORPES GOLF CLUB in the limelight, in the local press, along with all the other press coverage from other clubs. Should you be in a position to re-consider and be able to take on the role, please do not hesitate to contact me for details.
Signing off: Jane 'Scoop' Cannon (2005-15)
On the shop front we were visited by a couple of chaps from the buying group, who are experts in shop design and marketing, they earmarked several areas that need attention, and within this in mind a complete re-vamp of the shop will be undertaken in the near future. We are confident this will lead to greatly enhanced facility for us to look after all your requirements. There will be some new lines introduced Sketchers shoes and Under Armour as worn by Jordan Spieth to name but two so watch out for them.
That's about all for this week, hope the weather remains fair for the week ahead and may all your golfing problems be little ones.
