Well a great week for the club with the weather mainly good, but with some much needed rain too, although this seemed to fall mainly at night (except for the all day Tuesday stuff!!!) Saturday saw a great Charity day and you can read the results and amount raised in the results section below. Well done to Pam Welby, Jim Arnell, Liz Stones, Chris Reid, Ann lambert and Jude Livingston to name just a few who did so much for the day. With Stenno on form for the auction and all your generosity we have come up trumps again. A big thanks to all sponsors, especially main one Reid Hyundai, and also to Holly, India and Sophie for their items donated for Auction, I hope those that won these can use them as well as the girls!!!!!!
Football wise my boys looked a little better albeit in a losing cause against Chelsea and we are perhaps showing signs of bedding in as a team ( we are bottom though!!! ) Man United looked tame again, whilst Man City seem to be showing the early class. Grimsby got out of jail after being 2-0 down at home!!! I think the manager's tinkering seems to cause more problems than it solves!! England rugby lost to France in their last warm up game before the World Cup and to me the puzzle does not seem to be coming together in time for success. Also the cricketers lost the last Ashes test, but still get the urn back so well done to them.

A great day was had by all and culminated in a meal in the Clubhouse afterwards, followed by an auction with Paul Stenton as auctioneer which realised £1,461 and a raffle bringing the total on the night to £5,726 for the Captains' charity, the Humberston Hydrotherapy Pool. Afterwards, the members and guests danced the night away to a Disco provided by Andy Carr. Many Thanks went to the greens and catering staff for all their hard work which had gone into making the day the huge success it was, the volunteers who had manned the halfway house throughout the day.
Also, a special thank you to Mike Reid and his company Reid Hyundai for sponsoring the event.
Shop wise and lesson wise we remain busy thanks largely due to decent weather. The new i irons from Ping are causing a stir and we have demo kit available to try. With Micko our fitting guru on hand at £25 per 40 minute session we are positive we can fit the right spec to all concerned. Click the link to book.
