Hi everyone! Alex here again this week, Paul is off this week with his eldest daughter over for a visit with the grandkids so no doubt he will be rushed of his feet all week with them.

Only a few more weeks until the Football season kicks off so I expect quite a number of transfers to happen before then, hopefully my United can sign a defender and maybe a striker! Let's hope that Grimsby continue this good form into the season also and finally get back into the Football League!

Saturday saw the Bunnies Cup take place with Ed Emerson winning with nett 69 over Mike Ellis, Mike Goddard, and Jack Ellis with nett 74s.

Sunday saw the Men's Club Championship take place for the Moss & Bloomer Cups in tough conditions for the 36 holes. John Jarrel (Jazza) won the Bloomer Cup (gross) with a 72/77 over Andy Macdonald 79/72 and Zak Mawer with 76/76. Zak also went on to win the Moss Cup (Nett) with 71/71 in a playoff against Jack Woodhams 66/76 and in third was Dave Ellis 71/74.

Also a congratulations to Tony Miller for a hole in one on the 11th on Championship day so I am sure there might be a few sore heads from the bottle of whiskey that was on the bar yesterday!

The first team also won the First Division with a 3.5 to 2.5 win away at Waltham on Saturday, they now progress to the county final at Forest Pines at the end of August I believe so once the date is confirmed I will let you all know and hopefully we can get quite a few to go down and support the team.

Well done to Holly Clyburn for her 3rd place finish at the Ladies Scottish Open and to Sophie Walker for her tied 27th also.
