Well another busy week for the club, and with the weather seemingly improving we have seen plenty of play.
With the new membership categories helping membership numbers, and with the course in excellent order, there is a real feel good factor around the place right now.
Well done on Saturday to Steve Irving whose better exact handicap 65 saw him top the pile in the Croft Baker qualifier from Paul Duffield. Steve Brattan had an excellent 71 to win best gross, but is smarting after his Hull side got relegated on Sunday!! Look out on the board for the 16 names who go into the knockout stages.
Also well done to the mixed team on Sunday for beating arch rivals Grimsby in the mixed match.

Tuesday, 19 May 2015 - Wally Metcalf Salver
Dave Rushworth & Peter Taylor
Harry Balmforth & Alex Campbell
Despite the terrible weather forecast for this competition 32 members participated and enjoyed the mornings golf, managing to dodge the light showers!!
Football wise a disappointing end to the campaign for my boys, losing 4-1 at Arsenal after a high of beating the champions Chelsea 3-0 on Monday!! Well done to Stoke for a 6-1 demolition of Liverpool, a sad end for Mr Gerrard. Other than Newcastle surviving at the expense of Hull it there weren't many changes in the Premiership.
The cricket is proving interesting and evenly poised against New Zealand, with Ben Stokes recording the fastest test hundred ever at Lords to swing the match back towards England. I am looking forward to seeing some of the last days' play today, Monday, after I finish the admin!!
Shop wise we are doing lots of fittings, gapping sessions and lesson programmes right now. Click here to book the lesson deal of 7 lessons for £100, or the short game lesson offer of 3 lessons for £30, a great way to sharpen up and save shots. With PING, TaylorMade and Titleist demo clubs available, and Alex on hand for a FlightScope fitting at £25, we feel in a great position to help your game. Again click here link to book.
Don’t forget the Cleveland wedge demo cart we have too, a great way to get the right wedge balance in your bag.
Invitation Day still needs your support so pop in with your £15 entrance to get your name down. Date is Saturday, 6 June.
The Pro Am on Friday, 19 June is looking good, but we could do with 4 teams right now for Pros. Pop in if you feel you might like to play and get details.
Both Captain’s Day and Am Am have good entries on the sheets to date, but there are gaps to play, so pop down to put your name on the sheets.
