Well a frustrating weekend for all at the club as the course was closed due to heavy precipitation. Ironically I was near Manchester visiting family and both Saturday and Sunday were totally dry!!
Well done to all you Spurs fans as my boys,The Baggies, took a 3-0 home pasting, but at least all the teams below us lost too!! Villa had a real thumping at Arsenal, whilst the top two drew 1-1.
Rory won with ease in Europe, whilst Martin Laird had a bogey, double bogey finish in America to cost him a shot at victory. Sophie and Holly have an 8 week trip to Australia and I will watch their progress with interest!!!
In the shop we have the new Titleist Pro V1 balls arrived and unpacked. You'll be glad to know they are still at £40 per dozen. With all the new Titleist clubs, wedges and putters on the shelves we are seeing plenty of early season interest.
Don't forget Flightscope fittings, lessons or gapping sessions are available in the indoor area if the weather is bad.
Club Open Days
I know it seems a long way away but dates for Club Open Days have been diarised. There are two Sundays 26th April and 17th May, sandwiching an evening event on 14th May. The idea is to get established players playing the course and new players into the group lessons available on the day.
We do need your help to publicise these events and indeed your help to keep the membership levels healthy so if you can advertise around workplaces, clubs or just family and friends we will be most grateful. We are always happy to put on group sessions for work places etc. before the Open Days too!!
