Another great day for the club
Last week saw another busy week of competition here at Cleethorpes, which was rounded off by a very enjoyable and well-attended Club Day.
Our first competition of the week was on Wednesday, which saw the Ladies competing in a Stableford with Louise Emberson winning with 36 points. Second with 35 points was Judith Gorman and Valanteena G was third with 31 points Thursday saw a welcome return to form for Glenn Wishart whose better back nine 68 pipped Darren Gough for the Curry Cup title. Third was Peter Younger with a 69. Saturday saw a well-organised Club Day, which despite being put under threat from adverse wind and rain, turned out to be a great day for the club. Well done to all the organisers, and those who braved the elements. See below for the results and for the raffle winners. Also thanks to the band who played, Third and Church. Check them out on their website or Facebook page as they are brill! Janine fed and watered us so well as ever, even though we weren't able to fit in as many as usual with the restrictions, but still a brilliant job!
