Well a great improvement out on the course, and much noticed by you all! With a combination of sun and rain, much hard work from Steve and the boys, and a volunteer force helping we are heading back to better days for sure. Also with other volunteers painting and deep cleaning in and around the clubhouse, we are gearing up for the clubhouse re-opening. All you guys know who you are and I thank you all for the love you put into this great club! The use of the clubhouse will be in line with Government guidelines and so a limited service will be available, so please be patient as we move forward. The positivity is returning to the club, and that can only be a good thing. Any help you can give will be most welcome, and constructive criticism is good thing so long as you put it through the right channels and in a good spirit. On Saturday I had three suggestions made, which I have passed forward and will encourage them to be acted upon. Shop wise it is great to be so busy, and I publicly thank my mucker Darryl for his hard work and enthusiasm doing the job. He is such an asset to both myself and the club. Lesson and fitting times are through the roof as golf goes through a resurgence so get booked in early if you are looking for a time. I am off for 10 days from Friday 10th July so Darryl will try to use evenings in that period for lessons. Also he will have some cover on some of the days. Don't forget the Srixon bag draw at £2 per square is now open again, feel free to have a go when you are in the shop. Also we already have £170 pledged for a second hand ride on mower for John Gale, please add to this as this will be a real asset moving forward. Email me at paul.davies@foremostgolf.com or just pop into the shop. We are gearing up for putter fittings now we are back up and running, and have lots of putters due in to try on the SAM Putt Lab. Email paul.davies@foremostgolf.com to book a slot. Lastly the results from the Seddon Cup and a big well done to Darrylite and new owner of TaylorMade woods and irons Kev Benson for winning with a great 41 points, which could be even better when he has sorted his new putter out with Darryl! Second with a better back nine 40 points was Keith Holness, and third was a rare Paulite Duncan Burgess on the same points. Fourth was another Darrylite Andrew Thompson on 39 points. Well I hope to see many of you down playing in the next few days, have a great week, Paul and The Dazzler! Enjoy this week's read... |
