Well a tough week for golfers again with heavy rain shutting the course on Friday and Saturday. The cancelled Winter League will be this Saturday, weather permitting. We currently (Monday) have 13 holes open with carrying only, but the forecast is not predicting much rain so far this week, although that can often change.
I had a weekend of pre-Christmas visiting of family, firstly to older daughter Clara and my two lovely grandkids Jessica and William on Friday. Clara and I then escaped to London to see my younger brother Simon and his family, and then we picked up younger daughter, Alex from University to bring her back to sunny Cleethorpes for the Christmas period. I am pleased to be back at work for a rest!!
Shop wise we still have a shop full of Christmas ideas so please pop in for a look. Also remember the lesson voucher deal of 10 lessons for £100. These lessons normally have to be taken by end of March 2015, but if bought as a present for Christmas we will extend the time the lessons have to be taken by.
Football wise Liverpool look lost right now, Chelsea and Man City continue to vie for top spot and Man United have just won a sixth game on the trot to move into third. Southampton are now falling away after a good start, and boy was I please to see my boys, the Baggies, gain a much needed win over arch rivals Villa.
Saturday 20th December - Winter League
Well short and sweet this week with not much golfing news, speak to you all before Christmas I hope, cheers Paul
