Sports Update
Sport wise, Mcllroy gets back to world number one this week. This is his 96th week in total as world number, he is now only one behind the record for a European held by Sir Nick Faldo. I still think there is more to come from Rory as he continues to become more mentally strong I feel he will win more majors. Talking of world number one's, what're the chances of Tiger getting back to the summit. 2019 was a very strong year for him and I can only see him getting better in 2020, he broke his major drought last year and I wouldn’t put it past him to win another one this year as well as winning more tour events. Getting back to world number 1 would be the stuff of superheroes but I wouldn’t put it past him.
The winners on tour this weekend were Nick Taylor, who held off Kevin Streelman and Phil Mickleson to win the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and Min-Woo Lee who won the ISPS Handa Vic Open. With most of the Premier Leagues side being on there winter break Sheff Utd were the big winner keeping up there un thinkable chase for a champions league spot. In the Championship West Brom kept up there automatic push with an away win keeping them top. Leeds however were really unlucky and allowed forest to beat them putting forest in an unlikely position of getting an automatic promotion place (is that what you asked me to say Nigel? Haha). Grimsby got a good draw away at Bradford although from what the reports say they could of got all three points.

New stock in-store!
Some of the new stock has started arriving noticeably the TaylorMade SIM woods and Mizuno woods. I haven’t hit the Mizuno yet but I have been hitting the new SIM driver.
Last year I used the M5 driver and when comparing it to the new SIM, my club head speed has increased on average by 4 to 5mph. TaylorMade claims they have made the head more aerodynamic and from what I have seen from hitting it myself they aren’t wrong.
With this in mind, I want to challenge the SIM against your current driver. Hit five balls in the studio with your current driver and then hit five with the new SIM and see if there is a difference?
I am going to try the new Mizuno one this week that on first looks, looks a lot more traditional than drivers like TaylorMade and PING.

Some of the new FootJoy shoes have also been arriving in-store recently in addition to the long-awaited arrival of the SAM PuttLab which I'm really excited to start using. I will get up to speed with it this week and start to put it in action. |
