Hi to everyone Paul back at the helm this week, bit of football news to start, with another disappointing result for my Baggies, good result for Rob and Alex’s United team but not a convincing performance to say the least, looks like the title could be heading Chelsea’s way unless Man City buck their ideas up!
On the competition front we had the first round of the Winter league on Saturday with John Cox and Chris Pearson winning with nett 65 from PJ and Gary Grantham on back 9, Andy Macdonald and John Macdonald in third place with nett 66 on back 6 with from Joe Victory and Simon Thomas, Nick Bradsell and Mark Pearson taking 5th on net 67 on back 3 from Darren Fuller and Andy Garton. Next round of the winter takes place 13th December.
Just a reminder that there will be a qualifying competition each month through the winter programme alongside various other formats, we have sheets in the shop re the winter programme dates so just pop in and pick one up.

The winners of this Bonfire Invitation Stableford certainly received some 'sparkle' in their prizes this week!!!
Handicaps 1-20: 1. Gill Woodward, 31 stableford points, 2. Judith Gorman 26 points and she took it on the back 9 from 3. Gill Kapka also with 26 points.
Handicaps 21-28: 1. Margaret Quantrill, 25 stableford points, 2. Joan Wilkinson 24 points and 3. Jane Cannon 23 points and she took it on the back 9.
Handicaps 29-36: 1. Elaine Barker, 29 points, Betty Barrett, 19 points and she took it on the back 9 from Maureen Meadows also with 19 points.

Dense Fog delayed the start of play for 1. 5 hours but 36 eager competitors were waiting for the klaxon to indicate that play could resume.
