Hi to everyone, Paul is off this week for a long overdue rest brought about by my latest bout of physical calamity. It’s been a long haul getting over a broken leg and taken a lot longer than I thought it would, but I’m delighted to be back at work. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has enquired about me via Deb and indeed when I’ve seen anyone, it’s greatly appreciated.

On the competition front we had the November Stableford qualifier played on the 1st of the month. Div 1 was one by Matt Helstern with 39 points, 2nd was Martin Thompson also with 39 (on countback) and 3rd with 38 points was the evergreen Paul Stenton.

Div 2 was won by Glen Wishart with 37 points, 2nd was John Hudson with 35, and 3rd was Dave Thorndyke also on 35 (countback). Well done guys.

There will be a qualifying competition each month through the winter programme alongside various other formats, we have printed sheets in the shop re the winter programme dates so just pop in and pick one up. Saturday the 8th November sees the 1st round of the winter league, entry as usual in the shop make up your own fours, better ball medal.

In the shop it’s that time of year for the winter clothing to make an appearance, we have just taken delivery of some great PING lines of fleeces and lined sweaters, as well as a selection of waterproof clothing all offer great value and performance, as well as looking great.

Winter lesson packs are now available at £100 for 10 lessons, get your game together now with the view of kicking off the new season in fine form, it’s definitely the time of year to iron out those gremlins that sneak in through the season, rather than searching for the answers on the course itself, never a good idea!!!

Don’t forget FlightScope fitting, and loft and lie adjustment facilities are ongoing and proving very popular, so if you think your clubs need checking get them to us asap. It really can have a huge impact on shot performance.
