The typical Saturday rain… Great to have The Dazzler back this week to take the strain off my good self, but still a busy week as we plough on into the main summer events. The course is looking much lusher after some welcome rain, but why does it seem to come mainly on a Saturday! See the below results from Saturday to prove what I mean about the rain guys. Sunday was a better day weather wise for the Club Open Day, very well run again by Gill and Mike in the office, with great support from a host of volunteers. Also well done on the day to Darryl for his enthusiastic three free coaching sessions. He seems to have gained some new pupils into both the junior roll up sessions and the upcoming Adults beginner classes. Sport wise Man City have gone back top thanks to a superb strike form their captain. Man United cannot get a top four spot, and Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs all trying to lose their spot in the top four. Grimsby won their last game, whilst my boys lost to Derby, who now get into the play offs! We play Villa! Golf wise, world number 417 won his maiden US event this week, with Rose third, but Mcllroy having another last round meltdown. On the LPGA, Bronty Law came from 10 shots back in the final round to get into a play-off, alas losing out to Korean SY Kim.
