Treat your feet... Well despite the windy and wet weather last week, we kept very busy in the shop with lessons and fittings. With the shop looking superb, as said before due to Darryl’s input, and the stock level the highest we have had it, there is plenty for you to pop in and look at. |
We are particularly well stocked in shoes, and have started the shoe trade in early with a minimum £10 off per pair and up to £20 on the more expensive models. With FootJoy, Skechers and Under Armour in both mens and ladies, it is a great time to get kitted out. Add to this that the first fifty in stock shoe sales will put you into a draw for one lucky winner to get a refund on their purchase, it is a winner winner chicken dinner! Remember your feet go through a great ordeal in both the twisting when playing a shot and the uneven terrain when walking, so make sure you don’t wear cheap and poorly fitted models.

[* END *] The season ahead… We are hoping to see the white tees out ready for the weekend and to have the early bird qualifier that could not be played last Saturday. I know some of you question the shorter tees in the winter months, but Steve feels it is important to give our relatively small tees a break. I also know he is aiming to reintroduce some winter tees lost over a period of time. The course continues to look well indeed, and given a fair spring, I believe it will be in it’s best ever condition! The fixture books are out, please note in the Club weekly news the change of Pro-Am date from 7th June to 6th June which is a Thursday. I will no doubt bore many of you over the coming weeks as to why the date was switched!!

Sport update… Well done to Wales for their rugby grand slam, much deserved on the back of great defensive discipline. The same cannot be said of England who nearly lost to a magnificent Scottish comeback! My thoughts are that Eddie Jones tinkers so much that they don’t get settled. Any real rugby fans opinions? A great win for Rory at the weekend in The Players, which I watched on Sunday night and really enjoyed, this is unusual as I normally only watch the Majors and The Ryder Cup! Great to see many Europeans in the mix too. Football wise, Grimsby steadied the ship, whilst my Baggies won a poor game 1-0 away at Brentford. We are perhaps too far behind the top two now for automatic promotion, but look likely to get in the playoffs. Villa and a few others are now having a run, although Nottingham Forest seem to be falling away. In the premiership Liverpool edged a nervy game to go back top, with Man City just prevailing in the Cup at Swansea. Man United came unstuck against a good Wolves side in the cup, and nice to see Martin Lacey’s Watford reach Wembley. Pleased too for Derek Kennard as his Brighton boys are also into the semi-finals. Well that’s about all for this week, pop in for a look at the shop as said earlier, or to chat about how we can help your golf. Look forward to seeing many of you in the week!

With the return of more golf-friendly weather and the Masters just around the corner, the season is edging ever closer to getting underway. So, with that in mind, let us ask you a question: What are you doing differently to ensure 2019 is a better year on the course than 2018 was? |
We want you to challenge us Our team has years of experience in helping golfers improve their games, from custom fitting golfers into the best driver for their game to helping them escape the sand first-time, every time. Whatever part (or parts) of your game needs working on, we have the expertise to help you get better.
It all starts with a non-obligatory chat with a member of our team, which will help us understand your game better and the areas that need working on. From there, it's your decision as to what you want to do. To get the ball rolling, click on the button below and leave us a message. |
