Welcome to anther edition of our newsletter, in this week’s mail I return back from my trip to a shop re-vamp, there were some exciting new events while I was away, we continue to offer you £20 off a bag, and now is the time to start thinking about Mother’s Day. Enjoy the read!

The Shop is ready for the season ahead… Well I’m back in the saddle after a lovely 10 day break in Gran Canaria. Our last day saw 27 degrees, and then we experienced 2 degrees and sleet at 8.00 pm when arriving back in Manchester! Whilst away, Darryl has done a sterling job with a shop re-vamp. Thanks to Peter Younger in particular for his help, it really looks great so pop in for a browse. Darryl says as fast as he was sorting, boxes were appearing, with bags, shoes, trolleys and clothing hurtling through the door. With Lyle and Scott now added to our clothing brands, we have a full selection to choose from. Ladies please note the Green Lamb is due in soon. We now offer electric trolley choice in now both Motocaddy and Powakaddy with several models in store to choose from. Added to our already extensive shoe range is men’s Under Armour which looks great. Mind you, Skechers and FootJoy ranges for both men and women look the best they ever have this year so come in to try some on. |
Saturday saw a Captain vs Vice-Captain match which was a great success. PJ’s Vice team beat Dick’s Captain’s team 3.5 to 1.5. We hope to make this an annual event and get more players involved. I was very pleased with the success of the shotgun event and the Winter Invitation event held while I was away, hopefully these will be permanent features in the winter programme. As ever, any ideas to improve on this programme are most welcome. Sport wise it is now Wales’s 6 Nations to lose after they deservedly beat us two weeks ago and then saw off Scotland last weekend. England look good at times, but continue to frustrate as well. The Baggies have had a bad run, and on the back of that Darren Moore has now gone. A great guy, but perhaps lacking the tactical nous to get the best out of a decent squad. Grimsby are back in a lull mode too! A great win by Man United in The Champions League during the week, and then undone by Arsenal on Sunday. Man City stay a point ahead of Liverpool, whilst Darryl’s Spurs have gone right off the boil! Golf wise, a great last round 64 saw Francesco Molinari claim The Arnold Palmer in The USA, with Mathew Fitzpatrick taking second place. England’s Meghan Maclaren won the Ladies event in Australia while Justin Harding of South Africa won The Qatar masters, with Oliver Wilson one of 9 players tied second. Note a change of date for this year’s Pro Am is from Friday 7th June to Thursday 6th June. this is no fault of anyone at the club, rather a messy problem of my governing body The PGA! Well suffice to say I hope to see you all in the coming days, the weather may intrude on that mind you, but overall a great winter for the club and course. Steve continues to do a fine job along with his posse! Have a great week guys, cheers Paul

Motocaddy has always been at the forefront of trolley innovation, with the world's first GPS electric trolley amongst their ranks. Well, this year they’ve made some significant upgrades to the immensly popular S1 model, which we think you're going to love. |
| New Motocaddy S1 electric trolley (2019) |

We don't like using the term 'entry level' to describe the new S1 as it offers so much more than what this suggests. At first glance, you'll take a liking to its modernised styling and graphics, which will really help make it stand out from other trolleys on the market. Then you get to its technology: new and improved sunlight-friendly LCD display, nine speed settings, advanced battery meter so you needn't worry about it running out mid-round without knowing, and a super-lightweight Lithium battery to name but a few. The new S1 for 2019 is as good as it gets at this price point, so pop in-store to take a look and get one in your hands. |
