Welcome to another edition of our newsletter, in this week’s mail we are nearly full up of new products in the shop, we update you on all the upcoming competitions, and the Winter League has reached the knockout stage with the draw found below. Enjoy the read!

The shop is nearly full! Well the first thing to mention is the lighter nights are fast approaching as it was still light at 5.30pm last night! Whilst we have some temporary greens at the moment as a protection issue, the course is looking amazing, and overall is very dry for the time of year. The Winter League fourball stages were completed on Saturday, with some amazing scoring in the high winds. See the results below and the subsequent draw for the knock out stages in the results section. Please be aware that unless there are course closures, there will be NO extensions. You also have the option of a sub where you would start the match one down.

Shop wise, there is loads of stuff arriving through the door, with the TaylorMade M5 and M6 drivers, fairways and hybrids now in. We await the Mizuno demo kit, and then will be fully loaded with our three hardware brands demo club wise. Also in are Mizuno golf balls, the much rated JPX model, and we have an opening offer of £32 per dozen to try this ball out. There are G410 and Mizuno bags and accessories, we are already starting to look fuller! We still have the Men’s and Ladies sale rails in operation, and Darryl is loading some of last year’s clothing stock onto eBay. If you win any items, you can obviously collect in person to avoid carriage. Our eBay site is cleethorpesproshop. Darryl is happy to offer our free fitting service for any club requirements. I may be biased of course, but I feel his fitting capabilities are of the finest quality, so you can book with him in full confidence that the right outcome will be provided for your needs!! |

The 7 lesson deal for £100 is still open, this will be going up for the first time in ten years in April, but we will offer the existing price until then. Darryl also has an array of Adult and Junior beginner classes diarised, click the link below to make enquiries. Click here to book with either myself or Darryl for lessons or fittings. Sport wise, a good weekend for me with the rugby team dismantling France and even the cricketers creating a winning position against The West Indies. With The Baggies winning at Stoke and Town winning at Yoevil, it was 4/4 for me for a change! Liverpool got back to winning ways, whilst Man City dismantled a sorry Chelsea. Man Unite won again, and Spurs kept the pressure up with another hard fought win. In the golf, it was a great win at Pebble Beach for Phil Mickleson, with Paul Casey second. Phil looks a different player to the sorry figure in the Ryder Cup. On the European Tour there was a first win for Scot David Law who won down under.

Upcoming events... The Shotgun start on 23rd February is now full. For non-competitors the course should be back open around 12pm. Please also remember the Winter Invitation where you can bring a guest to play in the competition for just the £3.50 entry fee. This will be an individual Stableford, but you can play in fours on 2nd March. Lastly the entry sheet for Captain vs Vice on Saturday 9th March is now up on the main Men’s notice board. I have now started to put together this year’s Pro-Am, the date is 7th June!

More and more golfers are placing their trust in GPS equipment to help them on the course, providing key yardages to hazards and greens on every hole. If you’re yet to take advantage of this technology then you really are missing out, so here are a couple of our favourite products for you to cast an eye over... |
| Garmin Approach S10 Watch | This is the perfect accessory to help you get your exact yardage to the green with nothing more than a glance at your wrist. Sleek, lightweight and comfortable, the S10 GPS watch provides yardages to the front, back and middle of the green on over 41,000 courses worldwide, on top of hazards and doglegs, giving you all the key information you need to play better golf. |
| Garmin Approach G80 Device | Now this is something special. The Approach G80 is a handheld GPS device that gives you colour maps of every hole as well as key distances to greens and hazards. In addition, its integrated Launch Monitor not only tracks key data such as clubhead speed and estimated distance, but it comes with four game modes to enhance your practice time at the range. |
