Sport update Wow! What a strike from Son, I bet you have guessed who is writing this week’s section! Spurs had a stunning victory on Saturday night taking us back up to third. Chelsea’s win on Saturday has given all the Liverpool fans a slight glimmer of light thinking this could actually be their season. It will be interesting to see how they respond in the coming weeks. Arsenal managed to get themselves a typically lucky goal to beat a battling Huddersfield. Paul was relieved with West Brom snatching a late equaliser again over one of their midland rivals, Villa. In golf news, Oosthuizen eased to a home win when he shot a fantastic 67 in the final round to win his first tournament for almost three years. That’s too long for a player of his quality, so it was well overdue. After a standout year, Francesco Molinari has been crowned European Tour Golfer of the Year. He has claimed that one of the attributing factors to his good golf is that he now hits it harder off the tee which has lead him increasing his distance. He realised that his lack of length was holding him back slightly to compete week in week out with the other big hits so he addressed the issue and it has worked wonders for him. Maybe we can all learn from this, have a look at your own game and try and identify the weaknesses that might be holding your game back. Once you know this, either practice it more or have some lessons to make sure you have improved on it by the start of the season.

We all want to enjoy playing golf, and a big part of this is lowering our handicap. Yes, there will be times when your game isn't up to scratch and you go up .1 a few times in a row, but there'll also be times when all of the puzzle pieces fit and your handicap tumbles. |
What does your graph look like? As the year comes to an end, it's important to take stock and examine where you can improve your game going into the new year. There might be several areas that you want/need to work on, or maybe just two or three finer details that will take your game to the next level. |
Whatever those areas are, we're here to help. We can identify the key reasons you're not shooting the scores you want, as well as devise a personalised winter coaching plan to help iron out those faults and get you paying your best golf. So, if you want to see your handicap tumble in 2019, come down to the shop for a chat - you've got nothing to lose and everything to gain. |
