Achieve your goals in 2019

Now that the dark nights are upon us, this is the perfect time to reflect on the season you have had and to set goals for the 2019 season. Try and identify your weaknesses or where you feel you struggled this year. Once identified, have a plan for the winter to make sure at the start of the season you have improved your weaker parts and you get achieve your goals. To help with motivation, try to have a routine each week, if you can no longer play after work have an aim to maybe go to the range twice a week or have a 30 minute practice session before the sun light runs out on an evening if it’s possible. The aim is to have some form of structure to your practise sessions to get the most out of them. As we know with golf, the more you practice the better you will become, providing that it is good practice.

Practice doesn’t always have to be on a range or on the course, you might say three times a week you are going to putt in your hall way for 20 minutes, or do shadow swings in the garden, then I would mark down every session you do it so that you can physically see if you have achieved your target for that week or not.
