Take advantage of our packages… Well a busy week for myself with Darryl off on a well-earned week’s leave, it saw me teaching early and late to fit coaching requirements in, as well as looking after the shop and ebay duties. Tuesday this week will see him return to a busy diary as we catch up. Remember to get those lesson packs booked in as we have limited spaces available, and in the advent of bad weather The Studio will no doubt be in full use. See the lesson tariffs below, and note limited packs of the seven, fourteen and twenty one lesson deals will be available with them needing to be completed by the end of March 2019. - 5 lesson deal in Studio = £80 (Unlimited availability)
- 7 lesson deal, mix of outdoor and Studio = £100
- 14 lesson deal, mix of outdoor and Studio = £185
- 21 lesson deal, mix of outdoor and Studio = £250
(Max 10 of each of above available from Paul and Darryl) Click here to book in and please note these are available to non-members too.
You know what is coming! The pre black Friday sale has kept running whilst Darryl has been off and will finish sometime this week, so pop in for a last chance bargain, perhaps getting some things put by for you know what? Also the summer vouchers will go on your accounts soon so maybe use these up on those bargains!!! We have plenty of quality used clubs on auction on ebay right now, our shop site is cleethorpesproshop if you want a peek. Anything you win can be collected in person to avoid the carriage, and if you have any good condition branded clubs then we can put them on ebay to help create shop credit! |

Captain’s Drive In Club wise we have seen the new Captain’s drive in last Sunday, I hope they both have a good year along with the new vices. The incoming Captains are Dick Easton and Ann Poultney with their Vice Captains PJ Riley and Jan Williams.Dick and I will be doing the Pro Challenge series nest spring, look out for the lists going up in March! Also during the day, the Family Foursomes Trophy was presented to Jo & Paul Gibbons.

Friday saw The Men’s Dinner, and alas the numbers were low, and then the comedian did not hit the spot. I hope we can keep this going, if you have any thoughts on why it was poorly attended, and more importantly what we might change, pop in to talk it through. Thursday saw the AGM, which went largely well. Revenue is down this year in many areas, perhaps due to a poor start to the year weather wise, and then ironically too good weather through the summer. I know the member deals are a bone of contention to many long serving members, but it seems the only way to attract new blood in a difficult market. We need to get the revenue streams pumping to enable the continued good work Steve and the boys are doing on the course, as well as Janine and catering staff, and hopefully what you see happening in the shop!! Any ideas you have can be passed on to the Board, who I must say do an excellent job in this difficult time for golf.

Stableford results A beautiful day on Saturday saw 103 entries for the Stableford and the three divisional winners were Dave Mills with 37 points, John Staples with 39 points and Andy Ritchie with 33 points. Well done to Alan Dear for a fine hole in one on the 8th!

Sport update Albion played poorly to lose to Wigan at the weekend, but The Mariners got a good point against high flying Exeter. Man City look the class act right now in The Premiership, with Liverpool challenging. Chelsea dented Man United spirits with a last gasp equaliser as well! Golf wise, we see Koepka go top of the world rankings after winning in Korea, whilst Garcia won by 4 shots in Valderrama with the last round delayed due to bad weather! Becky Morgan won her first European Ladies title in 18 years of trying in India, with Sophie 54th and Holly 67th. Laura Davies won her second ladies seniors major of the year in America.
