Well after a packed few weeks of seeing the Albion, seeing my oldest daughter and two wonderful grandkids and lastly taking middle child Alex to University to start her Musical Theatre training I am now back in the saddle and raring to make Autumn a fruitful time for the club, not to mention lesson packages for yourselves to gear up to a successful 2015 playing season.
As you know my great buddy and colleague is recuperating from a femur break to add to his woes, but is doing fine as we speak. It will be another three weeks before he can start putting any strain on the leg. He will then have physiotherapy to strengthen the bone so it should be another few weeks after that before we see him back in the saddle.
At this point I have to say a big thanks to Alex Mick for his great efforts in covering and doing a great job whilst I and Rob have been away for varying reasons. He really is a great asset to both shop and club!!!
Well England toiled to victory in the football international friendly recently, we will see how they cope with the Swiss and will know the result by the time the newsletter comes out. Grimsby got back to winning ways and need to keep up the momentum to climb the table. Also a welcome 50 over win for the English Cricket team, followed by an exciting 20 over win over The Indians as well!!!
Shop wise we have just seen the arrival of ladies PING Collection Waterproofs and Lined sweaters and trousers. Also some gents PING Collection has arrived too. fittings on the FlightScope are still available at £25 per 40 minute session with Alex for PING, Titleist and TaylorMade. Click here to book.
Don’t forget we are now taking bookings for the winter lesson pack of 10 lessons for £100. These lessons must be finished by February 28th 2015, and this is an ideal way to boost your game before the main campaign gets under way next year!!! Again click here to book in.
Well done at the weekend to Craig Coutts (lesson must have worked!!!) whose exact handicap 65 won the Pawson Cup from Nick Bradsell. Third was taken by Steve Clayton from John Bayliss and best gross was won in fine style by Martin Warren with 68. At this time I don’t have the results from either the Seniors Open or Mixed Open played last week so look out for those next newsletter.
