Busy times ahead… Darryl has had the weekend off so I am unusually preparing the newsletter on a fine Sunday morning, and it’s great to see loads of members preparing to go out to play. Remember next week it is the Captain’s Am-Am on Sunday and the list is on the social notice board in the spike bar. My apologies as I was late putting it up! Please support your Captain and get your name down, £12 per team of three any combination. Lesson wise I am so pleased to see Darryl’s diary filling up, and he is leading the regeneration of the junior section with several classes. There is a girl’s class now on Thursday at 5.00pm, followed by a boy’s class on the same day at 6.00pm. Both are roll up classes and £3 per session, if you are bringing a child along just phone us to check there are no changes. Also he has a roll up most Saturday’s at 10am – 11am, again £3, and the Passport to Golf class on Saturdays at 2pm 3pm at £25 for a 5 week course aimed at those children making progress. Note the club is also offering FREE membership to under 12’s right now to encourage them to play. If you are interested in this contact Gill in the office. Membership figures are going well right now, with the condition of the course and the friendly atmosphere both helping. I know membership offers can be an issue to long standing members, but it seems the only way to attract new blood, so bear with the officials who do the work to keep the club going forward!
