Thank you for the warm welcome
Firstly, I would just like to thank Paul for the opportunity of working for him here at the Golf Club and I would like to thank the members for making me feel very welcome.
Paul has let me loose on newsletter due to the fact that I am having to hide the rope because of the unbelievable weather we are having and because WBA lost again (that’s the norm now) and are going into the championship without a manager.
It was great for English Golf this weekend to see Ian Poulter win and get into The Masters but if you’re like me and follow Spurs its takes a lot of the shine off it as he is and Arsenal fan. It’s going to be brilliant to see a fit Tiger at Augusta this week, I would be surprised if he was to win as I think it’s maybe just a bit too early in his come back, but if anyone could pull a rabbit out the hat its Tiger. I know not everyone is a fan and will be frustrated by all the coverage he gets over other players but it would be interesting to see if Tiger can get back to anything like the form he showed in the early 2000’s, just how good the current crop of top pro’s really are?
I would like to end with a question to our Club Captain Dave Colvin, now that our 28-year hoodoo at Stamford Bridge is over, can we play you every week? It’s been a great two weeks being here and I’m looking forward to seeing the better weather arriving, seeing the course in full flow and getting out there myself hopefully playing with some of you.
