Hello Golfers,

Well a much better week for the club with the course drying out and lots of cutting being done. Considering all the poor weather we have had, it is in great condition, especially the greens. The warmer spell might not be lasting and heavy rain is due tomorrow (Tuesday as I write my spiel on a Monday), but at least we can see signs of a great conditioned course for the upcoming summer season. Enjoy this week’s read!

Trusted technology

Tuesday saw the start of Darryl’s tenure at the club and the impact on the technology side of the business was immediately seen by myself in the shop and more importantly in The Studio. Rob was not a fan of the technology and his coaching principles meant he shielded away from this side of the business, whereas Darryl has grown up with a figures based regime.

He did two lessons in there on Wednesday, followed by helping with two fittings and then one on his own. The added bonus for you guys was to see how he could bring up extra data on his I-phone such as spin rates and lofts per club etc.

Going forward, Darryl will be doing the fittings and I see an even better service than before! Fitting time is currently FREE on our Complete Game Solution programme, so get booked in! Also impressing me with Darryl is that he, like me, gives an honest fitting experience, sometimes not the case elsewhere.

Also with the new Mizuno app now in use, it gives us the best shaft option start to your fitting experience which we feel we are onto a winner.

Weekly update

Sport wise, no Albion match for me to moan about this week, England won well in Holland but again awful hooligan scenes marring the win. Grimsby, like Albion just an oh dear! England’s cricketers have just lost, their bubble really has burst!

Golf wise, another Korean win on the ladies Tour, whilst Bubba Watson won the match play in Austin Texas. Not long to go now with the first major of the year taking place in just over a week’s time at Augusta.

Remember to enter the knockouts guys, we are looking to do the draw mid-April, and I will set a last date to enter shortly. Also the Pro-Am is gearing up nicely, if you want to put a team in let me know, date is Friday 25th May.
