Men’s Section The results from the medal played on the 8th July were a fine return to form as Paul (bodge) Barker returned a fine 72-6-66 to take division 1. I don’t know how he could turn up playing off 6, I had his sombrero all lined up for him however back in the cupboard now though. 2nd was Jamie Richardson with 80-11-69, nice to see you put the gremlins behind you, told you form is temporary and class is permanent! Third with 74-5-69 was James Hibbitt. Division 2’s winner was David Barclay with a great 76-13-63, Dave has only recently joined us so great to see him playing so well. 2nd was Pete Tingle with 78-13-65, it’s about time Mr Tingle had a nice reduction in handicap and some may say it’s long overdue. 3rd with 84-15-69 was Keith Holness. Moving on to division 3 and the winner here was Dan Holland with 84-19-65 which is a great score Dan, he was pushed all the way by Chris Wells who also scored 84-19-65 losing out on count back. Chris has had a couple of lessons recently, so it’s great to see his improvement which I’m sure will continue. And 3rd was Mick Webber with 86-19-67, well done to all the winners in all 3 divisions, some really great scoring. The results are as follows: Division 1 = 1st - Paul Barker nett 66, 2nd - James Richardson nett 69, 3rd - James Hibbitt nett 69 ocb Division 2 = 1st - David Barclay nett 63, 2nd - Peter Tingle nett 65, 3rd - Keith Holness nett 69 Division 3 = 1st - Dan Holland nett 65, 2nd - C. Wells nett 65, 3rd - Mike Webber nett 67
The midweek medal played on the 6th of July was won by Callum Wood with a fine 84-19-65. In 2nd was Daniel Houlton with 72-4-68, and 3rd was Anthony Lanfranchi with 94-23-71, well played guy’s. The A team were in action at Grimsby and managed a tremendous 6 games to nil win. So well done to them, looks like a big show down at home to Waltham to see who takes the league. |
