A Successful Weekend
Well, a strange week of weather with Wednesday a washout, Thursday not much better and then a good day Friday for Tony Diable's big Charity day on behalf of Linkage Trust. This superseded a fantastic weekend of weather and golf for Glenn Wisharts Captain's Mixed Greensomes on Saturday and Captain's Day itself on the Sunday. Glenn proved a great host as did Tony and Lisa on the Friday. The eventual winners were greated by a packed clubhouse pictured below.
Friday had all three leading teams come mainly from the home course, please see the results sheet here but especially well done to Lee Davey, Richard Cole, Dave Cole and W. Brightmore for their great win. It is great to see the students helping out and the fantastic Linkage staff who work so well with the students!!!!
Saturday saw Phil Welby combine with Pauline Smith to win the greensomes. See the results sheet here for the winning three pairs.
Sunday saw a most popular winner in Paul Moyles, and a great cheer went up from a full clubhouse when he collected the trophy!
A full list of results can be found here.
Special Studio Offer
The successful days above make for a busy time for us in the shop and mean less lesson time meaning we are extremely busy teaching during the week. Indeed I was pleased however to have given Paul Moyles some studio time before his win, as well as being involved in lesson time outdoors with runner up Alan Dear!
I know it sounds like just a lesson plug, but all the top tour players have regular tuition, so surely we lesser mortals need that guidance? With The Studio in full swing now, the three studio lessons for £50 offer is open to use. Click here to book and believe me the figures on the flightscope really do reinforce the lesson message. I am loving my teaching time in there so much at present.
Also we are now offering course play in there and a fourball can hire the facility out for £60 for a two hour slot. For the first time you use it my time will come free to show you the ropes, and again I am loving the learning process for the play facility.
For any studio time please click here to get in contact.
Time For New Wheels
Shop wise we still have plenty of stock to see so pop in for a browse. The shoe wall has proved a real hit with a massive selection of FootJoy or Sketchers shoes, both very comfortable.
Also new in is the Motocaddy S5 connect with several new features. These retail at £549, but the first one is on offer at £529, a onetime only deal so if you want it then please click here to reserve it.
Sport Update
I was very pleased to see The Lions beat The All Blacks on Saturday to set up a great decider next week, a great rugby match with great drama. Also Alex Hales scored a record 180 plus to win The one day cricket final on Saturday.
On the golf front, Tommy Fleetwood had another fine win on the European tour in France. Holly Clyburn finished all four rounds in the Ladies US PGA, with American Daniella Kay winning her first Major. The Quicken Loans on the PGA tour saw American Kyle Stanley beat fellow countryman Charles Howell in a playoff. British wise it was good to see Martin Laird in third spot to secure a place in The Open!
Well that's about it for this week, have a good one and if we can help you with your golf give us a shout!!
Cheers Paul
