Well the wet conditions continue to thwart plans at the club as we speedily head towards the playing season. Indeed after heavy rain Sunday I was surprised to see the course open, albeit 16 holes and mainly temporary greens. The greens themselves really look in good order so a few days off to protect them right now might be no bad thing!
Sport wise Chelsea play tonight (typing as usual on a Monday) so Man City and Spurs made up ground on them at the weekend. Liverpool had a good win against a tired looking Arsenal, whilst Man United missed a trick at home to a resilient Bournemouth. My boys lost badly to an improving Palace, whilst Grimsby just can't seem to get any consistency and a playoff spot now looks very doubtful.
Dustin Johnson held off two Englishmen, Tommy Fleetwood and Ross Fisher to win in Mexico, whilst South African Dean Bumester won The Tshane Open in his homeland. England managed to win the one day cricket in The West Indies, whilst not looking at their best.
Shop wise lots going on.
Firstly The Studio is taking shape, with most of the boarding out now done. Next phase is carpet, tiles on walls, ceilings etc., I will keep you posted with pictures as we go.

Modernising Golf's Rules
Last week the R&A proposed some key changes to the Rules of Golf from 2019. Their Rules Modernisation initiative has been underway for a few years now and this is the next stage in that process. The aim is to not only make the Rules easier to understand, but also to address some of the game's current problems, such as speed of play, and ensure they fit the needs of today's game.
Please spare a couple of minutes to complete our survey, which gives you the chance to have your say on the proposed changes.
We've picked out some of the most significant Rules changes for you to digest in this survey, before giving you the chance to say whether you agree or disagree with each of them. It'll be great to know your thoughts.
