Well hello to all at the club, with the course rapidly drying out after several severe cloud bursts. By the time you read this I will have had another day strimming the ditches, and the tidying of the course is giving it such an improved look right now.
Shop wise we have lots of pre-season promotions going on, and with a fully stocked shop we look forward to improving your game ready for the season.
Recently in as new stock is the range of summer clothing for both Men and ladies from FootJoy. It looks great and is of great quality so feel free to pop in for a look.
Also just in is the great new putter range from PING. There really are some beautiful specimens to try out, and why not have a refresher putting lesson at £20 to bring your technique up to scratch. Any Putters bought before April 1st will be offered with a free 20 minute putting tips session.
To check out everything we have in stock in the Proshop please click here and take a look.
Firstly don't forget to get your lofts and lies checked for existing irons Also we have the free grip on your 7 iron offer on right now for you to see the difference better grips will make to your play. Pop in to see what is available on our in store grip bar.
Secondly we have our dynamic wedge play offer. A free 15 minute wedge demo session is available, with a follow on Vokey wedge offer of two for £220 and a free short game lesson. This is an area that many medium to higher handicap players can make great strides in to create better scoring, so don't ignore this part of your game when you have lessons or practise. Sport wise the F.A. Cup threw up some great results, notably our old rivals Lincoln, being the first non-league side to get to the quarters in a long time. Grimsby had a good win 3-0 at home after a disappointing run. Man U are through and I think play Chelsea, maybe one of these will now be favourites to win...

Aiming for a younger demographic The European Tour have introduced some innovative ideas for the season ahead. The World Super 6 combined 54 holes of stroke play with a final-day knockout, whilst GolfSixes, which takes place later in the year, sees two-man teams battle it out over six holes in a group stage, before progressing to a final-day knockout.
