Poor Week for Weather...
Well last week was certainly the worst week for weather wise we've had for this winter (Hopefully all winter). Sunday saw the course closed for the first time all winter, but we are back open today with Steve and the gang out micro coring the greens to aid their drying out. Also there is plenty of verti draining going on out there on the fairways which also aids drainage.
Important News...
The Winter League was cancelled on Saturday and so the new arranged date is now for this Saturday. The draw for the knockouts will be done on the following Monday. Also don't forget to enter the summer knockouts guys, £3.50 per person per entry, payment when you enter. Also we are trying to get e-mail addresses to help make organising matches smoother.
Fixtures
Saturday, 18 February - Winter League Four (rearranged from last week).
The Quality of Golf is Getting Better and Better...
Sporting wise, a great finish by Holly Clyburn in Australia last week. A great win the week before by one of my favourite players Sergio Garcia that I didn't mention last week. Whilst this week Jordan Spieth won well at Pebble Beach and Fabrizio Zanotti won in Europe. I am regularly surprised by how many excellent players who have won lately, who I hadn't even heard of.
Just WOW for England...
England's rugby boys stunned a fantastic Welsh team's effort and wonderful crowd with a late try to win a truly epic test match. They seem to be able to win against the odds right now.
Another Disappointment
As your all aware Grimsby Town got a hammering away to Crewe, so we will leave that alone.
Fantastic Results...
My boys got a bit lucky to salvage a draw late on at Steve Courtney and Wally Walsh's Hammers, whilst Liverpool got back to a better display to beat Spurs. Man U seem to be sneaking up though, whilst Arsenal appear to have steadied the ship by beating Hull. The best result must be Burnley getting a point off Chelsea though.
Fully-Fledged Studio...
Shop wise loads in to look at, with a full stock of woods and matching demo gear to try. Fittings are £25 per 40 minute block, note there may be some disruption in our ability to deliver, as the work to make the indoor area into a fully-fledged studio starts next Monday. First phase includes new ceiling, walls and lighting. This will be followed by new carpeting with the projector and screen installed at a later date. This will increase our ability to give excellent coaching in cold and wet times. To that end we will be offering a deal of one club fit session, one ball fit session and four FlightScope lessons for £100 from March onwards.

Our normal summer lesson packages are available at seven lessons for £100 too, this does not include any FlightScope time though. Individual FlightScope lessons are £20 per half hour.
One great promotion we are offering at the minute is a FREE 15 minute wedge demo session.
We have a full range of Vokey wedges for you to try, with a great deal of any two for £220 with one free short game lesson (from stock only).
