Well a big change in temperature in the past week saw me go from teaching in shirt sleeves on the Monday to full winter kit by Wednesday!!! However if you have the right layers along with mitts and woolly hats it is not too bad once you are on the move.




Retiring Captains Dave and Chris Reid presented cheques to their chosen charities, Prostate Cancer UK and LIVES raised during their Captaincy year at Cleethorpes Golf Club. 

They were able to raise a combined total of £10,165.00. Collecting on behalf of Prostate Cancer UK is Jackie Lee and on behalf of LIVES (Humberston) Heather Atkinson. 

Just a reminder clubhouse wise to think about booking a Sunday Lunch with Janine and her gang, still as good as ever, and to look out for the Christmas menus coming up.   




Saturday saw the first of four medal rounds of the winter league with some excellent scoring bearing in mind the high winds and blustery showers. See the results sheet here for full results. 




Fittings still continue to thrive through Alex, and with him here till Christmas he is now gearing me up to take over that duty when he leaves. He really has been an asset to us this last three years, and to be honest I have learnt more off him than the other way round!

Football wise a great win for my boys at Leicester on Sunday! Liverpool looked superb, as did Chelsea, whilst a North London derby draw and a great draw by Middlesbrough at Man City changed the top of the table round again. Even Man United looked better at the weekend, whilst Grimsby did themselves proud at Bolton despite losing 1-0.
