Hi everyone, welcome to this week's newsletter. Hope you are all well. I will start with the welcome news that Alex Fairfax Micklebourgh has passed all of his P.G.A. exams and is therefore poised to become a full member of the Association. Alex hopes to get a position in Dubai or similar outpost, sometime in the new year, I'm sure we would all like to wish him the best of luck for the future, I'm sure he will be a credit to the profession.

Man City continue on their merry way I know they started the same way last season, but I have to say I can't see past them for the title, hurts like hell to say that!


 

On the results front there is only one show in town, not only did Nik Bradsell and Richard Ladd successfully defend the Robinson Cup on Saturday with a fine score of 67.5, they then followed it up by taking the R.A. Foursomes knockout title beating Martin and Chris Warren in the final. Well done guy's foursome's golf can be a difficult format but clearly not for Nik and Richard.

Runners up in the Robinson were P.J. Riley and Alex Mason also with 67.5 losing out on the back nine, 3rd were Dave Smith and Paul Bonner with 69.5.

Congratulations to Pauline Smith on her victory in The Elizabeth 2nd Diamond Jubilee Rose Bowl Competition. Her score of 22 in the nine hole competition was followed by Chris Holden and Jan Williams on 15 points. 

The golf was followed by a most enjoyable afternoon tea.


 

The office have requested that we remind all trophy winners to return them A.S.A.P please. Also men's dinner list is now open see main notice board for vacancies, tickets are £30 each. (Date for dinner is 21st October).
