Hi everyone, looks like summer has disappeared after a really nice Sunday it's back to rain and average temperatures again. Still it had to happen and it's coincided with a similar drop in temperature as far as my football team are concerned, that's all I have to say on that subject.




Congratulations to Pat Hunter on winning the Stableford competition held on Wednesday September 14th. Her winning score of 47 points secured her victory, with Jan Williams second with 46 and Chris Reid third on 45.

  

There was no competitive play last weekend due to the course maintenance being undertaken, it's all completed now, the lad's really worked their socks off last week, the weather didn't help them but as ever they came up trumps. 




The club are introducing a new winter membership scheme, anyone joining before 30th October 2016 receives full membership until March 2017 for £200, and 2 vouchers for main meals of fish and chips. Also re-join as a full member on 1st March 2017, and the winter membership fee will be offset against your first 2 years subscription half in the 1st year, half in the 2nd.

Men's dinner takes place on the 21st October dress code is jacket and tie with black tie optional, tickets cost £30 each, to include 3 course meal, and entertainment. Once again can I remind all cup winners to return their trophies, cleaned to the office, many thanks. 

Events this week are 28th September Ladies Texas scramble, 29TH September mid-week medal, 1st October Goffin Cup, 2nd October mixed social, 5th October ladies invitational.
