Hi members one and all hope you are all well. It was great to see so many out on the course this week, lots of good comments about how well the course has held up with regard to the weather over the winter. Here's hoping we get some dry days over the bank holiday weekend to really get the season going.
Wonderful weekend on the sporting front for yours truly, with England's first rugby grand slam for 13 years, it doesn't get much sweeter than achieving it against the French in Paris. Lots of work to do for the future, but a great start to a new era.
Then along comes the Manchester derby and who comes out on top but United, again all the better for being at City's stadium, hopefully Mr Winfield will be taking this set back like a man, but I wouldn't bet on it !!!. To be honest both teams looked very ordinary, and need a lot of work in order to get anywhere near passed standards. Leicester City march on it's looking more and more like either them or Spurs for the crown, it's nice to see the old order challenged now and then.
On the social front well done to Paul Barker for organising a great evening on Saturday music was really good and it was great to see such a good turnout, only thing missing was a real ale never mind had to make do with the red wine instead!!
Shop layout change is ongoing we have taken delivery of most of the new stock, Vokey wedges, FootJoy clothing, etc., we are still waiting on the under armour clothing, which we are expecting any day now. So there's a great selection across the board for you to choose from. Demo woods are available in the PING G model, as well as TaylorMade and Titleist.
We have a mixed social on Sunday the 28th both tees are reserved from 12 30 pm to 1.30.
