Well a frustrating week as far as playing golf at Cleethorpes was concerned with a familiar pattern for the year so far with the course looking good early in the week only to get shut for the weekend with yet another deluge!!! That said it seems to recover quickly and is looking a good bet to be in excellent condition for the playing season.
A reminder that the knockout lists are in the shop, payment for each of the three with entry.
Weather permitting we will see the fifth winter league this Saturday and I will then update the points list.
The fourth results sheet did go on the board but mysteriously disappeared so I have reposted it if you need to check your position.
Sketchers shoes now sit along our FootJoy range.
Also just arrived is the first of the FootJoy apparel which now has its own dedicated area and looks very appealing.
Also through the door is the Cleveland wedge selection with the excellent buy one and get a second at half price deal. A great time to update the wedges in the bag.
With the lighter nights we are starting to see more pupils for evening sessions. The summer block of lessons at 7 for £100 is available. We are also planning to start some short game group sessions in the evenings for those at work in the week. Click here if you are interested and state the best day for you.
Groups will be 8 maximum and cost £25 for a 5 week block.
The Ladies session on a Tuesday will remain a £5 per session roll up and I will look to get this back on first week of April when we hopefully will get better weather.
- PING DEMO DAY hosted on the big practise area on 26th APRIL from 1pm till 5pm
Note you will need to book for a fitting but you can just turn up to try the new G range. Also this is in store and available to try. Remember we are a FLIGHTSCOPE fitting centre and Alex does a great job in helping you. Fittings cost £25 for 40 minute sessions.
- Saturday 12th March winter league number 5
Sport wise I await with great anticipation the England versus Wales rugby match this weekend, possibly I think the championship decider. Sorry to all you United fans who read this, but a great win by The Baggies on Sunday over you? We are now one point away from the magic 40, so safe for another season me thinks! Also the football has seemed a little better to watch of late, as sometimes we have looked bereft of attacking flow. Leicester remain on top, can they do it? With Arsenal, Spurs and Man City dropping points of late maybe. Coming up on the rails is Wally and Steve Courtney's beloved West Ham. Could they steal a Champion League spot? Lastly on the football a great win for Grimsby at Forest Green, and with Cheltenham only drawing at the weekend at least the gap has narrowed to give The Mariners hope. I watched it on Friday night and the travelling fans were amazing, they really do deserve better.
Well that is about it for this week, great to be catching up with you having had Rob deputise a lot over the past few weeks whilst I have had the paint brush out at home.
A quick reminder that THE PRO AM list is now open so if you want to play let me know. The date is Friday 24th JUNE.
