Well as you can imagine a relatively quiet week for us in the Pro Shop this time round. Amazingly as I type this on another wet Monday morning the back nine is open!!!




Shop wise most of the refurbishment is now done and we are really pleased with the outcome. There is some painting of doors etc. to do and we will be ordering a little more slat walling to cover the front of the counter for proper ball display at some point. With the new ticketing solution ready to roll out after the sale we might well look like a proper shop!!!!

January and February will be sale time to clear the stock ready for the new spring stock arrivals. This year we are adding UNDER ARMOUR to our list of suppliers in both Men and Ladies so look out April time for this exciting new brand, which will sit beside current favourites FootJoy and PING in our clothing departments.

Yesterday (11 Jan 2016) saw the launch of the new PING G range to replace the G30, unexpectedly I must say as PING normally have a 2 year life cycle on their products, and so this has bucked the trend. There are not major differences that said, but if you are looking at new irons in the game improvement area wait to see the new product. As ever there will be demo clubs, and with Micko's ace ability on the Flightscope we are 100% confident in our ability to get the right fit into your hands Flightscope sessions remain £25 for a 40 minute club fit, and don't forget to book your 30 minute club gap session with him at £20!!!


 

Now is a great time for checking your clubs in readiness for the upcoming season. A full loft and lie iron check and adjustment is £20 where you can leave your clubs to be adjusted once we have established the correct loft and lie to suit. Note even the cast metal iron heads move with use so this is an important aspect for your play.

Also to have good grips is vital with the most popular grip the Lamkin on offer at £6 per club, fitted, through January and February.


 

Also we are extending the booking of the 10 lessons for £100 deal so that if booked and paid for by the end January you can take these lessons any time up to 23rd December 2016!!! Note any booked after 31st January will be on the normal summer deal of 7 for £100!!!

Football now and a last minute equaliser from my boys, The Baggies, sees a replay against an unlucky Bristol City in the Cup. Man United scraped through, whilst Chelsea looked comfortable against Scunthorpe. Good wins for Man City and Arsenal see the big boys still well in it!! Well done to Grimsby on a good away win, closing the gap on Cheltenham who only drew!!
